The Youngstown (OH) Chapter Of The Links Incorporated

The Youngstown (OH) Chapter is committed to enriching and sustaining the culture and survival of persons of African ancestry in Mahoning/ Trumbull County.

The Youngstown Chapter Of The Links, Incorporated founded in 1955, is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations, in Mahoning and Trumbull County, of women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

 

History

The Youngstown chapter was organized by Anita Brown, Grace Hill Walker and Margaret Smith.

The chapter was sponsored by the Columbus OH and Pittsburgh PA chapters of Links.

The Youngstown chapter was chartered on October 17, 1955.

 

The chapter was installed on December 3, 1955 by Lillian Brown President of the Pittsburgh (PA)  chapter and Charlotte S. Fish President of the Columbus (OH) chapter.
